Kempense Lakes Walking Network  : 270 kilometres of walking pleasure!!!

Kempense Lakes Walking Network serves 270 kilometres of walking pleasure in the municipalities of Dessel, Mol and Retie. The name of the walking network refers to the water-rich landscape, so typical for Mol and Dessel. The reclamation of the Witzand in the region from the second half of the 19th century created a patchwork of lakes, ponds and puddles. Many of them are today stunning nature areas, others attractive recreation zones. On the car‑free hunting paths along the canals, cycling is delightful. At the top of the Sas4 Tower, at the intersection of just three canals, you enjoy a breathtaking panorama. Other special places include the water mill on the Kleine Nete in Retie or the Norbertine abbey of Postel. There’s no finer way to finish your walk than with an abbey beer.
